The Governor’s Prevention Partnership assumed the role as convener and facilitator for the Greater Bridgeport Mentoring Collaborative at the request of the Mentoring Institute. The Collaborative works to connect local mentoring programs with each other and with resources in the community. Ultimately, the goal of the Greater Bridgeport Mentoring Collaborative is to serve more local youth with quality youth mentoring programs.

Greater Bridgeport Mentoring Collaborative is the longest-running of the urban mentoring hubs facilitated by The Partnership. Its members enjoy the networking capabilities and feeling of connectedness they experience by being a part of the Collaborative. Creating a support network around these frontline mentoring providers helps them to stay engaged and connected and contributes to the longevity of their service. These providers act as ambassadors for not only the Collaborative but also for area mentoring programs.
